Xi’an, a city in China, is famous for the Terracotta Warriors. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and supposedly the Eighth Wonder of the World. Although I was not very impressed. I mean its all right if you are into the history and have specifically come to see these warriors made of terracotta made more than 2000 years ago. Otherwise Xi’an is just another medium Chinese city, somewhat crowded and polluted. The highlight of our stay in Xi’an was making new friends from Korea and staying in the Green Forest Hostel with a lovely lounge and beautiful views. We probably spent most of our evenings at the hostel bar on the 12th floor over many beers and local drink called bai-jo.

New Friends: We are happy to have met Gabbi and Eric in Korea who are now travelling the world spending a good amount of time in Europe. We wish them all the best and hope to meet them again sometime soon.

Apart from the Terracotta Warriors this was the only place we visited in Xi’an city. We ended up being at Bell Temple twice – once during the day and then in the night. Of course night views were much better.
