Fly above the biggest waterfalls, Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil

We visited the Iguazu Falls towards the end of November 2015. We knew these were one of the largest waterfalls but to witness them from up close was truly remarkable. After a 17 hour bus journey from Buenos Aires we arrived at Puerto Iguazu and quickly made our way to the Falls on the Argentina side. Let me start with the best picture of the Uyuni trip. This was taken seconds before sunset on Day 1 on the Salt Flats. The sun goes so low and the hexagonal salt rings reflect the sun's yellow light so beautifully. One of the only few places on earth where you can see the horizon so clearly on land.

ALMA is the  Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array located in Northern Chile. Situated on the thin, dry air of the Atacama desert, 5000 meters above sea level, this is the ideal place to set up the world's largest array of Radio Telescopes. Although located in Chile it is a worldwide collaboration with three organisations leading the way - European Southern Observatory (ESO) (Europe), U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) (USA) and National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS) (Japan).

So even though you have been a part of the rat race, once passion really hits, travel becomes a reality. Recently in Bolivia we met a French-Vietnamese couple – Vinh Bua and Quynh Nhu – from Paris who are on a world trip. They are travelling along with their two kids, Juliette (10) and Antoine (12). We felt so fortunate to have met them.

Death Road, also known as the most dangerous road in the world, is in Bolivia an hour north east from the capital city La Paz. Officially known as Yungas Road, this road is unpaved, about 65km long and descends 15,000 feet from Andes to the Amazon Forest.
